Students have been introduced to some basic gymnastics skills over the past 4 weeks.
Activities involved practising core strength, balancing on a high and low beam, completing jumps off a vaulting horse with and without a mini trampoline, forwards and backwards rolls, just to name a few.
What has been your favourite activity over the past few weeks?

Irene Carroll (Music teacher)
Over the past few weeks, a special dance group has been formed where students have rehearsed choreography to a song called ‘Magic’. They have worked extremely hard and were given the opportunity to perform at assembly where they felt nervous and very excited. The girls did an amazing job and were proud of themselves once finishing the dance in front of all of the students, teachers and many parents at assembly. They have put in so much effort and I was a very proud teacher!
NEWS FROM THE MUSIC ROOM: Practise makes perfect!
The grade 5 and 6s have been working hard on their ukulele skills over the past couple of weeks and have nearly nailed the C, F and G7 chords.
They are super keen to start composing their own Blues songs to the 12 Bar Blues in C. We can’t wait to hear what they come up with!
